Game Design

Team participation (1-3 people)

Competition for computer games developers .Within the confines of the competition it is required to present a computer game. Game topic can be arbitrary. It is important to note that the game projects are eligible to participate only in the "Game design"nomination . One project can be challenged only in one contest, that means, if your team has submitted  to the  "Mobile development" nomination, then it has no right to participate in other nomination, such as "Game design". However, the team can participate in different nominations with different projects.

During the realization of the project, you can use any existing tool that is suitable for your application. As an example: XNA, DirectX, OpenGL, Flash, Unity, Marmalade, etc. It is important to note that you must have the rights to use tools. For example, if you use a paid game engine, then you are bound to have its license. The same rule applies to any used resources (images, music, etc.). The general topic of the “Golden Byte” competition in 2017 was chosen as the “Changing the World” theme.

There are also no restrictions on the gaming platform, but probably you will have to provide an  appropriate device for demonstration projects.

Projects that have won or placed prizes in national championship finals of the previous "Golden Byte" are not allowed to participate in the "Golden Byte 2017."

The competition consists of three rounds:
